Found, not Lost

So the other day I asked Hubby if he still had my little camera. He had borrowed it to take pictures at his work. I asked if he had it with him or if it was at work yesterday to take pictures of the demo. Well, last night he found it. He had it in a pocket of some pants that he pulled out of the WASHING MACHINE! That I had washed. Yes, me. I forgot to check the pockets. I ALMOST always check the pockets! Especially since I was the one who washed a gift certificate to a local restaurant just a week ago (but that's ok because although we love the food there, we had a bug on our appetizer sampler once... ALIVE!).

So... I tried to let it dry out. But it's dead. I took the disk out, which I had just bought (thankfully they are cheap now and not expensive like back with my first digital camera) and the battery out too. Best Buy actually has the newer version of what I own on sale this week. I'm thinking about getting it - we have important things to take pictures of! And yes, I have my big camera and technically, older cameras too (my film Canon), but we have a baby on the way! I need a camera! And not a big, bulky camera. I need one to carry in my purse or pocket as we run around.

I just hope that if I do get this new one that it takes the same disk (if it's still working). I've washed disks before and they work again... so let's hope! It was a 4 GB!

Oh my doesn't that just always upset you when you do something like that. I have washed several things and some survived and some didn't. Hope you find a new camera you like. I just got a Kodak V1073 and love it. It automatically adjusts and all you have to do is point and shoot. That the best and fastest way to never miss a shot. Good luck with the camera. Hugs, Marty
